Measure twice, comfort once.
A good fit should feel secure while still allowing the dog to stand, sit, lie down, and move naturally.
How to measure
Use a soft tape and keep the dog relaxed.
- Chest girth: measure around the widest part behind the front legs.
- Back length: measure from lower neck to the base of the tail.
- Lower neck: measure where the front of the coat will rest.
- Behavior check: remove the coat if your dog resists, pants heavily, freezes, or tries to chew it off.
